When I was younger I listened only to the pop music. Other genres didn’t interest and attract me. But once upon a time I have watched an old concert of the popular group Queen on TV. It was a wonderful show. I fell in love with this group from the first song. They were awesome. I fell in love not only with this group, but also with such a genre as rock. Step by step I changed my interest of pop music to rock. I have learnt such legendary groups as Scorpions, Aerosmith. They are the greatest band in the rock genre I have ever heard. When I studied at high school my preferences changed a little again. I listened to punk-rock bands like Green Day, Good Charlotte and so on and so forth. Their guitar playing just amazed me. It is not a surprise why these bands have millions of fans all over the world. Today my favorite band is Simple Plan. I have all their albums and a lot of their photos; I saw all their videos and besides my room was hanged with their posters. They are the main reason why I began interesting in guitar playing. Several months I begged my parents to buy this instrument for me. First they were against this idea, I don’t know why, but they considered that rock is concerned with drugs and alcohol, but it is absolutely not true and I could overpersuade them. And to the Christmas Eve they finally gave up and presented to me the most desirable gift – a guitar. I was on the top of the world. I was so excited. I didn’t want to waste every second of the time. And after Christmas holidays I found a guy who agreed to give me lessons of guitar playing. His name is Brandon. He is a son of my mother’s friend. He has problems with Spanish. His parents would be very angry if he wouldn’t pass exam of Spanish language. And we made a deal. He would teach me playing on the instrument and I would help him with Spanish. Thanks God, I have an excellent score of this subject. Brandon is a very good teacher. He has given me lessons three weeks already and I have success. We have lessons every day. And I’m almost skillful in this area. But first, it was very hard for me. I didn’t felt my fingers, but then I dropped into. I plan to continue my lessons and even create a group and write songs. There is less girls’ rock bands. Who know, may be we will have a success. So, we will see.
